External Community Spirit Award

We think it's really important to give where you live and that's why we reward and acknowledge one employee, every year, who dedicates a significant amount of time to volunteering within our communities. The recipient will receive two paid days of vacation time!

Internal Community Spirit Award

Congratulations to Nikita Normand on receiving our Annual Corporate Spirit Award!

A big part of creating a great work and team culture comes from employees that volunteer their time and ideas to make the workplace a fun and inclusive space for everyone! We choose one employee each year that dedicates a significant amount of time to volunteering within LCU for internal events and they receive two extra paid days of vacation time!

Board of Directors’ Distinction Award

This is presented to an outstanding employee chosen annually by the Board of Directors. The recipient receives a trophy and $1,000 cash.

Peer Recognition too!

We also encourage our team of teams to nominate each other for going 'above and beyond' for members and for co-workers. This peer award is given out each month and the winner receives recognition at the branch and organization level along with a $100 gift card.

Community Enrichment

Working at Lakeland Credit Union means you’re part of an organization that’s passionately involved in the community. We host events as an organization to give back to the community, provide scholarships, donations, sponsorships and our team members give their time through volunteering with organizations that elevate the Lakeland region.

Care Wear

On any Friday if you’re in one of our branches, you’ll see a more casual side of LCU. Our staff will be wearing jeans, and “Care Wear” shirts – which is a part of another one of our amazing staff initiatives. The Care Wear program collects $2 per week from employees to be donated semiannually to local organizations. Over $125,000 has been being given back to our local organizations since 2006. We’re casual, because we care.
